Hi, I’m Prit
and I’m a natural storyteller.
I love celebrating life, forming deep connections and bringing out the best in people.
So being a celebrant & MC feels like the perfect fit.
I share my life with my beautiful wife, Fran, and our two furry little family members – Chopstick and Maui.
I wasn’t always a dog lover. I wasn’t always a vegan either. And I definitely never planned to work in weddings!
But life’s been packed full of big surprises and little plot twists.
I literally went from being an aerospace engineer (and standup comedian by night) to an Agile Coach (and Life Coach on the side) to a Celebrant & Wedding MC.
In the last 13 years, I’ve had two major career changes and moved 7 times across the UK, Germany and Spain!
As crazy as all that might sound, it all happened so naturally…
In 2012, I left the UK and moved to Berlin as an ambitious engineer, armed with a safe and solid 5-year plan.
Two weeks later, I met Fran — and everything changed. She taught that safe and sensible engineer to let go of the plan and just… live.
We hired a car and drove across the country, with no idea where we’d sleep each night. Campground? Hotel? The back seat? Who knew! It was spontaneous, it was freeing. And I loved it.
That 5-year plan? Didn’t even last a year. After 10 months — and a few cocktails one night — we quit our jobs and went backpacking around the world. No set timeline. No return ticket. Just a sense of adventure and two huge backpacks.
I had no clue if I’d ever go back to engineering. I told myself, “I’m just gonna let go and see where life takes me”.
Choosing to jump off life’s conveyor belt and follow my heart was a bit like taking the red pill and unplugging from The Matrix.
Once I fell down that rabbit hole, there was no going back.
It’s been a wild ride ever since – full of exciting new things, scary unknowns and plenty of helpful little nudges from the Universe.
On the one hand, becoming a celebrant sounds like the most random pivot ever.
But now when I look back, there was nothing random about it at all.
Seeds were being planted and dots were being connected, without me realising.
Now I see it, it all makes sense.
