From Rocket Science to Human Connection: Prit’s Journey from the War Industry to the Love Industry

f you told Prit years ago that one day he’d go from engineering weapons to officiating weddings, he would’ve laughed. But then again, life’s got a funny way of guiding you—especially if you start listening to yourself.

Recently, Prit sat down with Jennifer Schlumovich on Confident Vegan to share his story—a story that starts with aerospace and ends with love, community, and a whole lot of transformation in between.

From Missiles to Mindfulness

Prit’s early career was textbook impressive: aerospace engineer by degree, working for major defense companies, managing teams of scientists, and climbing fast. From the outside, it looked like success. On the inside? Stress, burnout, and an identity crisis brewing quietly.

“I realized I had let my work define who I was,” he says. “The turning point was learning that it’s supposed to be the other way around—who you are should define what you do.”

That realization came with a side of Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, and a literal car explosion (no, really—his car’s head gasket blew the same week a doctor told him his body was “a boiling kettle with no water”). Symbolism doesn’t get clearer than that.

A Journey of Listening

When he and his wife quit their jobs to travel, Prit began practicing what he now calls “listening to his body.” That simple act of tuning in—rather than pushing through—set off a ripple effect that changed everything, including how he ate, worked, and lived.

That eventually led him to a plant-based lifestyle, to his “vegan-first” approach, and to a deeper understanding of energy and alignment.

“Veganism wasn’t about restriction for me—it was about freedom. Freedom to live in alignment with my body and values.”

From the War Industry to the Love Industry

After stints in aerospace, automotive, and agile coaching, the universe dropped him into a coffee chat with a wedding planner. A few stories later, she said, “You’d make a great celebrant.” And that was it—the spark that would become Celebrant Prit.

His first wedding request arrived at 11:11 (of course it did), exactly six months after being laid off. And it was for an Australian couple getting married on a mountain in Mallorca.

“I remember standing there thinking, this is what I was meant to do. Tell stories about love, connection, and being human.”

Building Humankind Communities

Now, alongside being a celebrant and MC, Prit runs Humankind Communities—a platform for small, purpose-driven businesses to grow through connection, kindness, and the Law of Attraction. He calls it “engineering community through love instead of logic.”

Because once an engineer, always an engineer—just with better energy.

The Big Picture

These days, Prit describes himself as “an explorer of new spaces.” Whether he’s helping couples tell their story, guiding clients to shift their orbit, or literally working on the successors to the International Space Station, it’s all part of one mission:

To help humans connect—to themselves, to each other, and to the infinite possibilities above and within.
